OMG. This is going to be huge.

Hot on the heels of HSM, Disney has just released a trailer for its next sure-to-be-blockbuster movie franchise ‘Prom’.

‘Prom’ will centre around the lives of a group of American high-schoolers in the months leading up to prom. And unsuprisingly the film’s writers have been able to find enough drama to fill out a full feature-length movie.

Disney has decided to cast mostly unknowns for Prom although you may recognise Yin Chang (Gossip Girl) and Nicolas Braun (10 Things I Hate About You).

While Prom is sure to draw comparisons with HSM (it is after all, set in an American high school) there is one crucial difference; Prom is not a musical

*Gasp*.

Hopefuly this RomCom will at least have enough laughs to make up for it.

While Prom will enevitably be missing the musicality, gloss and effronesque-magnificence of HSM we don’t doubt it will be a hit. After all, Disney + Prom + Prom Dresses. Could anyone ask for more?
